A request for sex talk in German, a crippling back injury, and coming out to her religious grandmother... Alice Frick knows the recipe for disaster well! The confused Austrian abroad indulges in life with wide-eyed enthusiasm.

Award-winning Austrian comedian Alice Frick, escapes the Alps to follow a few of her favourite things: doing comedy and being openly gay - but she ends up having one nightmare after the other. Spending a year reading every self-help book available and ending up with a therapist who tried to make her straight, Alice says: “I realised I have to either become the person I don’t want to be or to write a new comedy show.” It was the year of Alice’s first Tinder date and her first encounter with a suppository, “and”, she says, “I don’t know which I enjoyed more”.

Alice is a comedy child of Ellen DeGeneres and Miranda Hart with an Arnold Schwarzenegger accent, dressed by Maria von Trapp.

Alice Frick has performed in Austria, Germany, the United States and Great Britain. She has done a few TV shows in Germany and Austria, “What the Frick” is her second solo show in English, which she is now developing into a sitcom.
